Back To Normal!

The next day, though, I smiled at Lisa in the hall, and she rolled her eyes and snickered. Then she turned back to Amy and they started fussing over some selfies.
I gaped. First she was nice, and now this? Well, I could expect no more from Lisa. Of COURSE she would be back to normal.
AGAIN!
But I didn’t care. I was too excited. I saw Marcus at my locker, and his mouth broke into a beaming smile.
I recalled his words the past day..
Mackenzie, will you be my girlfriend?
It was amazing..
We were sitting on his front porch after school the past day, chatting, when he looked at me kind of shyly and asked me the question I had longed to hear. Of course, I smiled and said..
‘No way, Marcus, I hate you!’ ?!?!
Kidding! I broke into a huge grin and told him yes, of course! Then the unthinkable happened. He leaned in closer, and kissed me gently. It was a moment I had only read about in fairy-tale-stories.
Anyway, back to the story!
I saw him at the lockers, a beautiful smile on his face. I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him tight.
‘Marcus!’ I cried. Then, when I saw my friends, I excitedly beckoned them over.
‘Guys, this’s Marcus, my boyfriend! Marcus, these are my BFF’s.’
Later, at lunch, they practically stampeded me!
‘WHAT?!’ Nature shrieked. ‘A BOYFRIEND?! OMG, MACKENZIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’
I rolled my eyes. ‘OMG, it’s NOT a big deal!’
‘What?’ A cold voice snapped behind me. Whipping around, I saw Lisa and Amy staring at me.
Lisa growled. ’STAY away from Marcus! Plus, didn’t you know he likes ME?!’ She smirked.
I narrowed my eyes. ’No, he’s MY boyfriend.’
‘Oh, really? Amy, show her.’
Amy whipped out her phone, scrolled down something, then pressed PLAY. It was a video- Of Marcus holding hands with Lisa!
I gasped. Running, I glared at Marcus. Then I sat down in the hall and quietly sobbed.
