A New Friend

Hey guys! Bubblegum here! It had been CRAZY going to rio. But I was glad I was back home!!
Jasper texted me to meet at the park around 5:00, and I agreed heartily. Heading there, I saw him. His beautiful blue eyes and white hair sparkled and shone. He looked at me and smiled warmly, then leaned in to kiss me. I then pulled out my phone, and saw a text from my dad.
Dad> Time for dinner hon. It’s pasta and garlic bread!
Me> Sure dad. Yum 😋
‘Bye, Jasper!’ I yelled, running onto the street.
‘Bye, Bubble. See you at school!’
I ate dinner, then went to sleep.

The next day, I pulled on a pair of tights and a cute shirt with a cartoon baby penguin drawn on it, brushed my long brown hair, grabbed my backpack, and ran to school.
Inside, I met up with Jasper, my friends, grabbed my books from my locker, and ran to class.
But when I got to my spot, I saw a pretty girl sitting in the seat near it. She had pink dyed hair in a high ponytail, a glittery pink dress, pink shoes, pink scarf, pink earrings, and pink lipstick and eye shadow.
‘Hey.’ She smiled at me warmly. ‘I’m Coral. Coral Park.’
‘Hey, I’m Bubblegum. Are you new here?’
‘Yeah,’ She said. ‘I love to sketch fashion designs. Wanna see?’
‘Me too!’ I gasped. ‘Please, show me.’
She pulled out a sketch book filled with gorgeous fashion sketches of jeans, dresses and gowns.
‘Wow!’ I gaped. ‘Oh, Coral..wanna sit with me and my friends at lunch today?’
‘Sure!’ She smiled.
So she did! We had an awesome time. She liked the same things I did, too!

The next day, my friends and I decided to hang out with Coral at the mall, since it was a Saturday.
I texted her, and she said yes. I put on a cute blue hoodie, black leggings, and sneakers, then headed to the mall, where I saw my friends chatting with Coral.
‘Hey guys!’ I smiled. ‘Let’s go to Starbucks!’
We did, and it was great. As I was sipping my Belgian whipped cream chocolate Frappe, I saw Lisa.
‘Guys, Lisa’s here!’ I muttered.
We all headed out of Starbucks, but soon forgot about Lisa. We went to Teen Style, and got some new dresses. We needed some dresses for Prom, so I was looking around, when a splash of red caught my eye.
Then I saw it.
A gorgeous, flowing red gown, with big red roses at the chest, and an open back. I fell in love with it! I grabbed it, then snuck into a changing room.
The dress clung to me perfectly! When I emerged, my friends started gasping and gushing over my dress. I saw a pair of red heels, and I grabbed that as well. And guess what! It was only for 20$, so I bought it!
Then, my friends and I headed to a fast food joint for lunch. I bit into my burger just as Lisa and Amy walked in. They had loads of shopping bags, and I wondered if they’d stolen or actually bought them. Hey, they’d done it!
Lisa walked up to us. ‘Hey, LOSERS! Me and Amy got SO much stuff! Oh, who’s your little friend?’
‘I’m Coral.’ Coral stood up. ‘Lisa, right? You know, I bet you’d be even MORE popular if you’d be nicer to others!’
Lisa stared at her. ‘Um, WHATEVER! Why do YOU care?’
Coral glared at Lisa. ‘Get out of here,’ She muttered.

The next day, I was grabbing my bag from my locker, when Lisa and Amy strutted up to me.
Lisa smirked. ‘Loser girl. EVERYONE knows I’M gonna be the prom queen! And Jasper? Ugh, horrid! I already found a date. He’s rich AND smart AND cool!’
Amy snapped a photo of Lisa, and I hated to admit it, but Lisa looked like something out of a fashion magazine in that photo!!
Just then, Jasper came up to me.
‘Hey, gorgeous.’ He kissed me, and I smirked at Lisa.
‘Ready for lunch?’
‘You bet.’ I smiled.
At lunch, I grabbed a chocolate milkshake and a bowl of fries. As I was sitting down, I saw Lisa signing up for..the cheerleader team??
Well, it was ON! I would sign up too. That would get her back!
